Sometimes the road to adoption is very silent. You never know if anything is going to happen, you're so uncertain if the dream of a little baby in your home will ever happen and really just wondering if you will hear anything at all. For a couple of months now we have been silent and the other day I learned something about the silence that has really helped. A wise person shared with me that the adoption process becomes silent because the ones walking through it allow it to become silent by not talking or asking about and simply being silent themselves. So by learning this I have decided we should not be silent and continue to share and continue to educate others. Plus we know statistically that the more people who know you are trying to adopt, the better chance we have of running into someone who knows someone that wants to place their baby for adoption.
